Luke 1:38 "I am
the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May your word to me be fulfilled"
Then the angel left her.
Lot of times, I prayed
for the will of God in my life but didn’t get the answer I expected, years ago
in one of the Christmas evening I have learned about what the will of God is
and how to fulfill it? from Mary’s life. Many believers wonder what the will of
God is for their lives. In simple words “Lord, I am willing to obey, even
though I don't completely understand what it is that you’re asking me to
do." That is what Mary did. She didn't fully understand what the angel
Gabriel was telling her, but she obeyed just the same. She took a leap of
faith. This is the attitude God looks for in His servants.
Apostol Paul gave us
the great direction for knowing God's will in Romans 12: 1-2 “ Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy,
to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is
your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” This is what exactly Mary did when angel appeared
with the Good news. She didn’t think about the world and her surroundings.
If we notice Paul is
speaking about the commit ourselves to God. First we have to commit ourselves to
Him. Then we will know the will of God. We should never be afraid to commit an
unknown future to a known God. The condition of an enlightened mind is a
surrendered heart. Maybe the reason we don't know God's will is because we
haven't said, "I accept it, and I will obey it."
Mary answered to Angel
“I am the Lord's servant," "May your
word to me be fulfilled",
what a response from Mary. that’s the one of the greatest response in the Bible
when God called. If we are going to respond to the call of God and we must
resolve to submit him and trust that he will take care of you and me. Mary
showed us that by her example what it means to submit to God’s sovereignty.
GOD BLESS YOU
