To spread the word of
God and reach out to people with the gospel of Jesus, 200 missionaries were
dedicated in Kerala by the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese. The Lord has been with
the diocese and blessing it. With missions being the focus, 200 missionaries
were dedicated during the CMS Missionary Arrival bicentenary. The lay
missionaries were dedicated at the CSI Holy Trinity Cathedral, Kottayam,
according to an FB post by Rev Viji Varghese Eapen. The programme was organized
on November 13 on the death anniversary of Henry Baker (Jr). Rt. Rev. Thomas K.
Oommen & Rt. Rev. John Holbrook led the Service. As the missionaries were
dedicated at the Cathedral, during the 'Bicentenary Thanksgiving Service',
several churches in the diocese prayed for them. “Yes! We enter into the third century of our
missiological journey in renewed spirit and strength,” Rev Eapen said.
