Ghalib, a businessman
of Pakistan, knew the Koran but he thirsted for more knowledge about God. He
found this in the Bible. As he belonged to a Muslim family, he knew his family
would not tolerate him reading the Bible, so he used to read in secretly. And one
day, he decided to accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He left his
house and his business and went away. He did not even want his family to know
where he was. But they came to know that not only had he become a Christian, he
was only preaching that there is salvation only through Jesus Christ. He knew
his own family would be trying to kill him. Ghalib took refuge in churches. On
one occasion, a church was attacked and the pastor’s son was fired at in
Lahore. “I went to places where I thought my family would not even get to know
where I was. I was preaching about Jesus wherever I went,” Ghalib said in his
testimony on Youtube. Life, however, became more complicated. “Even churches
started to disallow me as they feared that they would be attacked only because
of me,” Ghalib said. With life becoming difficult in Pakistan but unwilling to
leave Jesus who he believed in, he went to Malaysia. He found it was more
difficult even in Malaysia. In those difficult circumstances, the Lord came to
his rescue. The FGCC, an international church, welcomed him and he serves the
Lord with the church. He pastors a congregation of people from Pakistan who
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
