She wants to reach out
to Muslim women and tell them about Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world. In
Sweden, a Muslim woman who read the Bible and understood the one true God as
described in the scriptures, is spreading the gospel in a unique way. Wearing a
burka, which is part of the Muslim woman’s attire, she approaches Muslim women
and explains about the Koran. And then she points out the loving God from the
Bible. “I want Muslim women to know the truth,” she says. Mona Walter came to
Sweden from Somalia. She found quite a difference in the way Islam was
practiced in Somalia and Sweden. In fact, she says in Sweden she found it more
radicalized. After having read the Koran, she was not satisfied. That is when
someone suggested that she read the Bible. And she discovered a loving God,
according to her testimony on YouTube posted by The Endless Love of Jesus
Ministries. The one verse that struck her from the Bible was Mathew 5:44, which
says: “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Mona understood the heart of Jesus was all about love. She still remembers the
first time she read Matthew 5:44, where Jesus said to “love your enemies and
pray for those who persecute you.” “It was very strange for me to ‘love your
enemy,’ because in Islam it is ‘kill your enemy.’ ‘Kill your enemy and anyone
who refuses Islam.’ But Jesus Christ was all about love and peace and
forgiveness and tolerance, and for some reason, I needed that,” she said in the
testimony. It is this love of Jesus and forgiveness that Mona wants everyone to
know.
