Today’s meditation is
taken from Genesis 3:9 “The LORD God
called to the man, “Where are you?"”
This question hits my
mind many times, especially when I’m lost. if we notice this is the first question
that The Lord God asked man, “Where are you? “. God habitually
appeared to Adam in some visible form, for now Adam and Eve in their guilt and
awareness of nakedness hide from God when they hear the sound of His footsteps
in the garden. Adam and Eve clear knew that they lost the relationship because of
the sin they committed, but the Lord God wants to reestablish the relations and
called to the man “Where are you?”
If we notice the importance
this questions, this is the important and common question that people ask when
they are lost. suppose if somebody lost their way and called you for the right
path, the first question you would ask is Where are you ?, today most of the Christians
and non-Christians are in same situation, they lost their ways completely .Today
we are seeking to find a way out of a very confusing situation that prevails in
our world. We will never do it until we start with this question, Where am I? It’s
the time to retrospect ourselves in the course of our life. Lord God is asking
you and me the same question after lost the way, to show the right path and
establish the relationship again .2 Corinthians 13:5 “ Examine yourselves to see whether you are in
the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in
you—unless, of course, you fail the test?”
Many times I hide and
afraid to face God because of my sinful nature, I don’t know about your situation
but question yourself “Am I hiding? Afraid of God , because of sin in my life ?”
Maybe you’re trying to cover your sin with the fig leaves of your good works. He
is graciously calling, “Where are you?” If you will come to Him and confess
your sin, He will deliver you and give you eternal life.
Lets pray Lord, help
me to examine myself with this question, Where am I?
GOD BLESS YOU
