Today’s meditation is taken from Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
What does “Peacemaker” means?
A peacemaker is someone who experiences the peace of God and he got the peace through the Prince of peace. We are living in a world where there is full of troublemakers, unfortunately , so many troublemakers in the church and home as well . Troublemakers are counterbalanced by peacemakers. Philippians 4:7“The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
How can I become a peacemaker? Why?
As a child of God, we ought to be a peacemaker not a troublemaker because Jesus came with the peace. Yes, its very hard become a peacemaker but It’s important to be peacemaker where ever we are either its workplace or church or home or college etc. how can we become a peacemaker? Troublemakers are always selfish, they only bother about themselves. But peacemaker doesn’t think of himself at all and he thinks for the people and what is right. As a peacemaker, we have to look everything in Biblical view and we need glorify God, we can share gospel through our life and peace. We have to imitate Jesus Christ in order to become a peacemaker. Romans 14:19 “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.”
How to Become children of God ?
Here comes the blessing "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God," Jesus does not tell us how to become a children of God but He simply says that children of God are in fact peacemakers. People who are peacemakers will be recognized as the children of God at the judgment and they will be called what they are and welcomed into the Father's house, to become a child of God, we need become peacemakers in this world.
Let’s Pray Lord, Please help me to become a peacemaker on the earth so that your name will be glorified … Amen!
GOD BLESS YOU
