Good Morning …! Praise the LORD …!
Today’s meditation is taken from “And forgives us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Matthew 6:12
May be few months back I was terribly hurt by a person and I grew anger. I was not able to forgive and I knew I was wrong. Finally I apologize that person but it took me few months to take that decision. Even today many believers on the same position, forgiveness is often seen as a sign of weakness, not strength, but you will realize the power of forgiveness, the moment you forgive others .
Jesus taught us to pray, "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors", many believers knew the lord’s prayer since childhood, but the question is “Are we really forgiving our debtors?” most of the times without forgiving others, we ask God to forgive our debts or sins. In yesterday’s devotion we have seen the parable of the unforgiving servant (Matthew 18:21-35), the question remains the same "Are you like a unforgiving servant ? "
We do sin everyday; we certainly fall short of a standard of God. We have sinful thoughts and attitudes. The Bible says it clear "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8). We need to ask God every day to forgive us for our sins. And as we receive that forgiveness, we should also extend it to others. If you still not able to forgive others then take a moment and ask Lord to give the heart of forgiveness .
“Forgiven people ought to be forgiving people”
Lets Pray “Lord, I’m holding something in my heart against someone ?” , please forgive me and give me heart of forgiveness “
GOD BLESS YOU
