Today’s meditation is
taken from Colossians 4:5-6 “Live
wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every
opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt,
so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Yesterday, my friend asked
me how to behave and share a gospel to non-believer? and we discussed many
things, later when I’m reading the Bible I come cross these words “Live wisely among those who are not believers, and
make the most of every opportunity” .Here Apostle Paul is giving excellent tips on How do we behave
with and toward unbelievers?, if you are concern about their salvation then we
must follow and apply what Paul instructed us to do.
Paul gave five
important points :
1. We must conduct ourselves with wisely toward unbelievers, it’s very important to walk
in wisdom. Wisdom will gives us ,what to do for the glory of God and it helps us to change our behaviour with unbelivers .
2. We must identify
the urgency of our task. “Make the most of every opportunity”, don’t waste any
opportunity that come your way or the chance to walk through an open door into
the heart of an unbeliever! Every encounter has the potential to be
soul-saving. Don’t let fear or hesitation or lack of preparation steal that
moment.
3. Let your
conversation be gracious with unbelievers ,we need to be careful when we speak with unbelievers,
we need to be careful, gracious, kind in speech and give them kindness, love,
compassion, and patience.
4. Must be “seasoned
with salt”. God calls us the salt of the earth, our conversation must always be
tasty and attractive like a salt to unbelievers . People see and sense the
sweetness of the Savior when we speak .
5. We must know how to
answer everyone, it’s essential to know how to answer everyone; we have to speak
the right word and the right time to the right person. We have to give answer wisely
and gentle.
