Good Morning …! Praise
The Lord …!
Today’s meditation is
taken from Galatians 6:4-5 “Each
of you must examine your own actions. Then you can be proud of your own
accomplishments without comparing yourself to others”
We are living in a
competitive world; the biggest problem is everyone started comparing with
others in all aspects. This is one of the fastest ways of discouraging yourself
and getting trapped by the sin of envy is when you compare yourself to others.
Often times we forgot
the God’s specific plan for us and started comparing everything with others in
Education , Job, home, position, wife/husband, family ,money etc . If we
started comparing with others then won’t accomplish the God’s plan in our
lives.
Count your blessings
and not the blessings of someone else. Let God control your life and give Satan
no opportunity to discourage you from the purpose God has for you. Know that
all you need is Christ. Set your mind at peace by focusing on the Lord.
Instead of looking at
the negatives in our lives and comparing with others, we must look at and for
the positives and give thanks.
“Even though I clutch
my blanket and growl when the alarm rings, thank you, Lord, that I can hear.
There are many who are deaf.
Even though I keep my
eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible, thank you, Lord,
that I can see. Many are blind.
Even though I huddle
in my bed and put off rising, thank you Lord, that I have the strength to rise.
There are many who are bedridden.
Even though the first
hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned and tempers are
short, my children are so loud thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many
who are lonely.
Even though our
breakfast table never looks like the pictures in magazines and the menu is at
times balanced, thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are
hungry.
Even though the
routine of my job is often monotonous, thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to
work. There are many who have no job.
Even though I grumble from
day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest, thank you, Lord, for
life. “
Remember, “Comparison is the death of joy.”
Let’s take time to
thank God for his unique plan and purpose on you and me.
Amen!
GOD BLESS YOU
