Today’s meditation is taken from Genesis 1:1 “In the Beginning God”
Fresh start … Beginning …! Word of GOD starts with verse called “In the Beginning God” declares, referring the beginning of all created things. When the Jews named the book “Genesis”, they named it after the first word of the Hebrew text, which literally means “In the beginning” or as a title, “The Beginning.” This is where everything starts.
Someone said “If you can believe Genesis 1:1, you won’t have any problems with the rest of the Bible. If you can believe that there is a God who miraculously created everything in the universe, you won’t struggle over the other miracles of the Bible.”
Everything began here, the beginning of the world, man, sin, redemption, blessing, condemnation, punishment, destruction of cities and world etc.
If we understand for everything God is the beginning, he created everything from nothing .God existed where nothing exists. In Hebrew God means “Elohim” and it’s a plural in form. We need to understand that clearly in the beginning God meaning Son, father and Holy Spirit.
John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”This again refers to Genesis 1:1 - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Word (that is, Jesus Christ) became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
Hebrews 1:10 "In the beginning, Lord, You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.”
We all start or begin many things in our daily life but the question we need to ask ourselves is “Am I begin with God?” you and me need to begin everything with God. Many times we forgot to begin the day with God and we forgot to give thanks to God. We all in a hurry to complete things but God took his time and saw what he created then declared everything is good, that’s how our life should be, before doing anything, take time and begin with God.
Learn to begin everything with God!
