Good Morning …! Praise
the LORD …!
Today’s meditation is
taken from Hebrews 6:15 “After
waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.”
In difficult
situations, I pray like this “Lord, I trust you and your promises” but many
times I failed to receive what God has promised in my life because of impatience.
Even though I knew , God’s promises are true and Yes but I didn’t wait and rush
God to fulfill his promises like I rush my manager to initiate promotion and
end up following my own will rather than God’s will .
Many of us will rush God to fulfill his
promises immediately but God’s patience is long-suffering and he never hurried. We need to
develop patience to receive what God has promised. God knows we desperately
want immediate results. But perhaps God wants something from us. Maybe He wants
us to develop a little patience.
Scripture says “We do not want
you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and
patience inherit what has been promised. When God made his promise to
Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by
himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”
And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.” Hebrews 6:12-15
We need to wait
patiently in order to receive God’s promises in our life. We can develop
patience by faith, spending time in prayer, reading word of God, by having a
good heart, going through tribulation, by testing of your faith, and by having and
not losing hope in your Lord. Wait patiently for His timing.
Do not grumble or
complain to fulfill promises immediately like the Israelite's did to God. God
got very angry at the people’s ungratefulness and hardness of heart. It is
worth waiting for God’s timing rather than troubling ourselves.
Scripture says “You need to persevere so that when you have done
the will of God, you will receive what he has promised” Hebrews 10:36
Throughout the Bible,
we can see how people (Abraham, Noah, Joseph, Moses, Hannah, David etc. ) had
to wait patiently for their blessings, their prayer, and their promises.
Patience will develop Christ like character that’s how people in bible had
build their character and lead an example life to others , that’s the expectation
from God for you and me . God has made abundant promises to us. Some promises
will be fulfilled in His Kingdom, while some will be fulfilled now. Even so, we
must be patient. “Wait for the Lord; be
strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (Psalm 27:14).
“I waited patiently for
the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to
stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will
see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. Blessed is the man who makes the
LORD his trust….” Psalm 40:1-4
Lets put a new song in
mouth and praise to our Lord ! “We will
reap what we sow so be patient waiting for your promise”
GOD BLESS YOU
