Good Morning …! Praise
the LORD …!
Today’s meditation is
taken from Romans 15: 1 “Now we who
are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just
please ourselves”
We are living in a
world where strong people dominate the weak ones. The world thinks those who
are strong should use their strength to take advantage of the weak. But, the
scripture says completely opposite to what the world says “we who are strong ought to bear the weakness of
those without strength and not just please ourselves “
The strong ones are to
bear or assist the weak ones. When we are weak God made us strong. Christ died
for both the weak and the strong and they are to get along in a spirit of love. Unfortunately many of us please ourselves
more of what we have but God’s Word says the strong ones must set aside self
out of love for the weaker brother.
An elderly person had
two large pots, each hung on the end of the pole, which he carried across his
neck to bring water .One of the pot had a crack in it while the other pot was
perfect and strong always delivered a full portion of water . At the end of the
long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half.
The cracked pot was
ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it could only do half of
what it had been made to do and the other pot was feeling proud of itself. After
2 years of bitter failure, the cracked pot spoke to the person: "I am ashamed of myself because this crack in
my side causes water to leak out all the way to your house.”
The person smiled
"Did you notice that there
are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?”
"That’s because I
have always known about your flaws so I planted flower seeds on your side of
the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For 2 years I have
been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table .without you
being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house”.
Romans 15: 1 “Now we who
are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just
please ourselves”2 let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to his
edification. 3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written,
“The reproaches of those who reproached Thee fell upon me.”
“Let every one of us
please his neighbor for his good to edification” The strong are to make every
reasonable attempt to please the weak for the weak do not need criticism but
try to please them, patiently instruct them, and build them up in the faith.
The weak should be loved, not treated as different ones.
Everyone in this world
is created by God on his own image. He knew how to use the cracked pot, we as
children of God should encourage the weak ones and help for their growth.
Rather than putting the weak down, the strong are to bear up the weak, in their
areas of weakness.
Learn to care one
another, Love one another, be united with one another, carry each one’s burden,
greet one another, pray one another, bear with one another serve one another,
and appreciate one another.
GOD BLESS YOU
