Good Morning …! Praise
the LORD …!
Today’s mediation is
taken from Matthew 22:39 “You shall
love your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus gave two great commandments
to all the Believers, one is Love God and another is love neighbor. Many times
I Love God with all my heart but at the same time I failed to love my neighbors.
In fact many believers failed to love their neighbors. But scripture says “We love because he first loved us. If anyone says,
“I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love
his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he
has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother” (1
John 4:19-21
We all love ourselves
in all the aspects either its good or bad but we failed to show same love to
our neighbors in the family or church or job location. Jesus clearly commanded
us to love neighbor, you might ask yourself “Who is my neighbor?” Your neighbor
is more than someone who lives near you, looks like you, shares your culture or
beliefs and others as well .Leviticus
19:34 says: The foreigner residing among you must be treated as you’re
native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the
Lord your God. So, in other words
all people on this earth are our neighbor, we should give same love to non-believers
and foreigners as well.
Loving God empowers us
to love other people. The focus on love helps us not to settle for a minimum
concern for neighbors, but to reach out to them. Love helps us to understand the real thrust
of the commandments, and to give us concern for actual obeying of God’s word. Love
also helps to lead your neighbor to Christ.
It’s time to question ourselves
and learn to love our neighbors. We should live and show love like a Christ, then
people around you can understand the God’s Love and Power. As a believer it’s important
to lead a different life by loving others, so that we can influence others.
“Love only grows by sharing. You can only have more
for yourself by giving it away to others.”
GOD BLESS YOU
