Daily Devotion : Learn To Build Faith in Hardships/Trails

Good Morning …! Praise the LORD …!

Today’s meditation is taken from 1 Peter 1 : 7 “Trails have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

A man named Jack was walking along a steep cliff one day when he accidentally got too close to the edge and fell. On the way down he grabbed a branch, which temporarily stopped his fall. He looked down and to his horror saw that the canyon fell straight down for more than a thousand feet.
So Jack began yelling for help, hoping that someone passing by would hear him and lower a rope or something. “HELP! HELP! Is anyone up there? “HELP!” He yelled for a long time, but no one heard him. He was about to give up when he heard a voice.
“Jack, Jack. Can you hear me?”
“Yes, yes! I can hear you. I’m down here!”
“I can see you, Jack. Are you all right?”
“Yes, but who are you, and where are you?
“I am the Lord, Jack. I’m everywhere.”
“Lord? You mean, GOD?”
“That’s Me.”
“God, please help me! I promise if, you’ll get me down from here, I’ll stop sinning. I’ll be a really good person. I’ll serve You for the rest of my life.”
“Easy on the promises, Jack. Let’s get you off from there, then we can talk.”
“Now, here’s what I want you to do. Listen carefully.”
“I’ll do anything, Lord. Just tell me what to do.”
Okay. Let go of the branch.”
What?”
“I said, let go of the branch.” Just trust Me. Let go.”
There was a long silence.
Finally Jack yelled, “HELP! HELP! IS ANYONE ELSE UP THERE?”

Sometimes, we don’t trust God completely when ever hardships/trails come. Our faith will shake in difficult situations even though we knew God’s ability. After all we are humans. But God expects us to build a faith in difficult situations.

“These have come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed"

Tribulation or trails will tests our faith in the lord and it helps us to draw closer to God. Trails will remind our purpose in Christ and tests our obedience, patience. Trails are will teach us to how to rely on the God and his word.
Remember, if God allows you to do something according to his will, do it even though if you face lot difficulty because God has a purpose behind everything. You need to build genuine faith in the hardship in your life so that you faith will never be shaken.

Remember the promises of God when you are in deep trails “

“The LORD is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid? “(Psalm 27:1)

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. (Psalm 105:4)

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

The Bible teaches us If we are faithful, God is present, even when He seems far away; God’s timing is perfect, even when He appears catastrophically late; and During our times of suffering, the most important thing to do is keep our faith and trust in Lord Jesus Christ
